What a BlueMusic account is
You do not need an account to use BlueMusic as a local music player. An account only exists if you turned on the optional library sync, which uses Firebase Authentication so your data belongs only to you. You can sign in with an email and password or with Google, and with Apple on iOS.
Deleting your account removes it and the data linked to it: your synced playlists and favorites, and the shared playlists you created (which stop being available to the people you shared them with). Music files stored on your own device or in your own cloud providers are never part of this account and are not affected.
How to delete your account
Deleting is done in the app and completes immediately:
- Open BlueMusic and sign in if you are not already signed in.
- Go to Settings → Library → Backup → Manage account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
The path is the same on Android and on iOS. The app deletes your account and its synced data right away.
Already uninstalled the app and cannot sign in? Write to laskyfeedback@gmail.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you. Verified requests are processed within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or by an active dispute, security investigation or fraud-prevention hold.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove the data associated with it:
- your Firebase Authentication account;
- your synced playlists and favorites, and your account records in Firestore;
- the shared playlists you created, which stop being available to everyone you shared them with, and your membership of the ones other people created;
- your subscription entitlement records held for that account.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it from Google Play or the App Store, whichever store you bought it in.
Local data on your device (playlists, favorites, settings, cached files) can be removed at any time by deleting the app or clearing its app data. Access to your own cloud providers can be revoked from each provider's account settings.
What may be retained
We may keep limited records where we are required or permitted to, for example for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, or tax and accounting obligations. Such records may include hashed identifiers in error logs and are not used to re-identify you for any other purpose.
Billing, cancellation, refund and tax data tied to a purchase are held by Google or Apple according to the store account you used, and are governed by their policies.
