What a BlueMusic account is
You do not need an account to use BlueMusic as a local music player. An account only exists if you enabled the optional Cloud Backup feature, which uses Firebase Authentication (email sign-in, Google or Apple sign-in) so your backup belongs only to you.
Deleting your account removes that Cloud Backup account and the data linked to it. Music files stored on your own device or in your own cloud providers are never part of this account and are not affected.
Option 1 — Delete from within the app
This is the fastest method and completes immediately:
- Open BlueMusic and sign in to Cloud Backup if you are not already signed in.
- Go to Settings → Cloud Backup.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
The app deletes your account and its backup data right away.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can no longer access the app, email laskyfeedback@gmail.com from the email address associated with your BlueMusic backup account, with "BlueMusic account deletion" in the subject.
After we verify that you own the account, we complete the deletion. We aim to process verified requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or by an active dispute, security investigation or fraud-prevention hold.
You can also request deletion of only your Cloud Backup data without deleting your account — just say so in your message.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove the data associated with it:
- your Firebase Authentication account;
- your Cloud Backup files stored in Firebase Storage;
- your backup metadata and account records in Firestore;
- your subscription entitlement records held for that account.
Local data on your device (playlists, favorites, settings, cached files) can be removed at any time by deleting the app or clearing its app data. Access to your own cloud providers can be revoked from each provider's account settings.
What may be retained
We may keep limited records where we are required or permitted to, for example for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, or tax and accounting obligations. Such records may include hashed identifiers in error logs and are not used to re-identify you for any other purpose.
Billing, cancellation, refund and tax data tied to a purchase are held by Google or Apple according to the store account you used, and are governed by their policies.
